Welcome Tour

WELCOME
A search trail is the path you leave behind while searching on your favourite engines like Google.

Trexy enables you to create, remember and share your search trails. It works with [->TrexySiteStats::getEngineCount()-] search engines.

Take the tour (below) to find out more:

STEP 1: Enter a search term and press the "Blaze a Search Trail" button.

Let's blaze a trail for "chocolate cake".

STEP 2: Select your favourite search engine.

Let's click on Google, for example, and search for a "chocolate cake" recipe. All trails begin with a search and include the steps you take to find your answer.

STEP 3: Click on a search result as you normally would.

You know you are trailblazing when the web TrailBar and Trexy Live Cache message appears.

Trailblazing activates when you start searching on a search engine. Trexy does not record any sensitive information such as logins or credit details.

Let's click on the third result for "chocolate cake".

STEP 4: View the web page to find what you are looking for.

"Our best Chocolate Cake Recipes" displays a number of chocolate cake recipes. Let's pick the recipe for "Chocolate Mousse Cake". Notice the green light is on which means we are still blazing a trail.

STEP 5: Found it! Now you'll never have to search for it again.

We've found a good recipe for chocolate cake, so let's stop searching and start baking that cake. You've blazed a trail so you'll never have to search for it again.

STEP 6: Search "My Trails" to remember the trails you've already found.

To retrieve your trail, enter "chocolate cake" in the web TrailBar search box and click on "Search Trails".

Trexy helps you to remember where, when and what you have searched for and which web page(s) you visited to find your answer.

STEP 7: View your search trail in "My Trails".

"My Trails" are your personal collection of trails. You can delete or decide not to share any of your trails anytime.

Searching and finding information takes time and effort. Why not help other searchers by sharing trails? Let's share the chocolate cake recipe we found.

STEP 8: Share your search discoveries in "All Trails".

Click on the "Search All Trails" green tab. Our trail for "chocolate cake" appears. It is anonymous. All we know is that the Trailblazer is in the United Kingdom.

By sharing trails you can access your trails from any computer.

STEP 9: Learn from other Trailblazers - search on "All Trails".

Let's search for "party tips" on "All Trails". Maybe someone else has already found what we're looking for? It looks like a trailblazer from Germany has used Teoma and found "Kids Party Themes". Let's follow that trail.

STEP 10: Follow in the footsteps of a Trailblazer.

You can bypass all the browsing steps and jump straight to the end of a trail. If you can't find a trail why not be the first person to blaze a trail for it?
