A search trail is the path you leave behind while searching on your favourite engines like Google.
The Trexy TrailButton enables you to create, remember and share your search trails. It works with over 4,000 search engines.
Step 1: Download the TrailButton to start trailblazing.
This is a two step process: 1. Agree to the terms and conditions and 2. Select your browser type. The TrailButton works on Firefox. Once installed you will see the TrailButton appear in your browser and you're ready to start trailblazing.
Step 2: Go ahead and enter a search term in your favourite search engine.
Select Google for example, from the pull down or go to Google's homepage and search for "ipod". All trails begin with a search and include the steps you take to find your answer. The TrailButton automatically activates when you start searching on a search engine.
The TrailButton does not record any sensitive information such as login or credit card details. Trexy also integrates with several other search engines and databases in your browser pull down.
Step 3: Click on a search result as you normally would.
Notice the green light activates when you are trailblazing. We're looking for some technical specifications for our new Ipod. Let's click on the third result for "ipod".
Step 4: Browse the web to find what you are looking for.
Let's pick 'Tech Specs'. Notice the green light is on which means we are still blazing a trail.
Step 5: Found it! Now you'll never have to search for it again.
We've found the technical specifications for our Ipod, so let's stop searching and start listening to that music.
Step 6: Search 'My Trails' to remember the trails you've already found.
To retrieve your trail, select 'My Trails' from the TrailButton pull down menu.
Alternatively, go to the Trexy homepage and type your keyword in the blue ‘My Trails’ box. Click ‘Search My Trails’ button.
Step 7: View your search trail in 'My Trails'.
'My Trails' are your personal collection of trails. You can delete or decide not to share any of your trails at anytime.

Your trail will now go into the pool of shared trails in 'All Trails'.
Step 8: Learn from other Trailblazers - search on 'All Trails'.

Step 9: See trails blazed by other Trailblazers to find relevant information.
It looks like a trailblazer from Venezuela has blazed a previous trail for 'MP3 Players and Accessories' on 'ebay'. Let's follow that trail. You can bypass all the browsing steps and jump straight to the end of the trail, saving you time and effort.
